VIKING delivers life-saving equipment to Freedom of the Seas

Press release June 2006

The Freedom of the Seas is the latest Royal Caribbean ship to be built with VIKING LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT on board. VIKING was chosen to supply this latest liner because of its proven ability to provide first class life-saving equipment and its unique global network of servicing stations that can service marine evacuation equipment when and where it is needed.

VIKING supply:

Liferafts
82 x 35 man davit launched liferafts
3 x 12 man davit launched training liferafts

VIKING's davit launched liferafts are installed on decks 6 and 7.

The servicing network can be as important as the equipment on board
An important factor in choosing VIKING was their unique service network. Cruise line operators need to keep their liners in service – any delays can be a costly affair. VIKING's global network of 270 servicing stations set them out from the rest, offering the all-important customer convenient servicing, fast turnaround and a rapid response time.
