VIKING ACQUIRES ASSETS OF USA SERVICES
In an effort to increase its East Coast presence and expand further into the United States market, VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, a leader in maritime safety, announced an agreement to purchase the assets of USA Services in Norfolk, Virginia. Effective August 6th, the 12,000 sq. ft. facility will operate under the VIKING name, improving logistics and distribution for its regional sales and service partners.
"Our goal is to provide comprehensive sales and service of all USCG and SOLAS regulated equipment," said VIKING vice president of the Americas Al Osle. "The current economic climate demands that our customers get the greatest value for their dollar. The expansion to Norfolk, Virginia, will enable us to service key shipowner and defense customers. This new facility is part of Viking's focused commitment to these customers."
Located at 1141 Ingleside Road, Norfolk, Virginia 23502, VIKING's new facility will be equipped to represent the company's entire line of products. It will also offer liferaft, evacuation system, lifeboat and fire service. For almost 50 years, VIKING has produced superior marine and offshore evacuation and embarkment systems, liferafts, lifejackets, immersion suits, fire suits and other life-saving equipment.
