Business processes and projects The sales department handles customer enquiries directly and provides sales support to VIKING subsidiaries. The department works in close cooperation with other departments within the company to provide tailor made solutions for evacuation and embarkation systems for passenger, cargo, defence and fishing vessels and the offshore industry, and protective clothing for fire and defence industries. Work in this department focuses on practical and strategic issues important to all segments in sales and marketing, including overall coordination and information sharing. Global marketing Global marketing is responsible for marketing planning and coordination of activities in cooperation with segment managers, corporate image, corporate design, sales and marketing materials and internet. Passenger Passenger is one of the largest segments, providing MES (mass evacuation systems) and system liferafts to the cruise and ferry industry. They work closely with our MES Engineering department and supply evacuation systems to cruise ships, passenger vessels and ferries. They support the Yachting segment with sales of evacuation systems for super yachts. Cargo Cargo services cargo vessels worldwide, providing liferafts, PPE, LSA and systems to cargo vessels worldwide. This department covers one of VIKING's largest markets. Offshore The offshore segment supplies unique evacuation and embarkation systems and PPE to the offshore industry. Defence Defence supplies evacuation systems, liferafts and PPE to the military (navy, air force, special forces and police). Fire The fire department supplies fire protective clothing to professional fire departments and coastal rescue. Yachting and fishing Yachting and fishing provides liferafts, accessories and lifejackets for fishing and leisure use.
